About
Whether working on large-scale landscapes or smaller organic abstractions, Davina takes inspiration from the places she has walked within, travelled through, and hiked across. Drawing upon her own source material, she explores memories of places that continue to resonate with her. Through her use of oil paint, colour, and mark, she seeks to capture an energy that reflects her own observation and lived experience of being immersed in the shifting rhythms of the natural world.
Davina is a British painter who works and lives in Berkshire. She was born in 1966 in Derbyshire and, after having travelled extensively and worked in London for a number of years, she completed her Foundation at Chelsea School of Art, BA in Fine Art Painting between 2000 and 2003 at Camberwell College of Art, followed by an MA in Fine Art Painting (Distinction) in 2004 at Winchester School of Art. Davina undertook an Artist’s residency at St Paul’s Cathedral School and has exhibited in open calls, group and solo shows in London and around the UK. She has been working predominantly to commission over the last few years, whilst bringing up her family and helping with her husband’s business. She is now enjoying dedicating much more time to her practice.
