LANDSCAPE ABSTRACT
Profile
Conveying the emotional resonance of a sense of place is central to my practice, whether I am working on large-scale abstract landscapes or smaller organic abstracts. Drawn to form, movement, and weather, I take inspiration from my own many travels and experiences. My process is underpinned by the expression of the visual and sensory experience of the natural world through my use of intense colour, combined with both purposeful, and accidental mark-making. Enjoying the versatility of oil paint, I play with dripping, scraping and glazing to bring about the differing levels of energy and mood within my work.
I trained at Chelsea College of Art and Design, Camberwell College of Arts and Winchester School of Art, graduating with a Masters Degree in Fine Art Painting in 2004.
I have exhibited in both group and solo shows and juried exhibitions in London and across the country.
My more recent work is predominantly to commission.
I do hope you enjoy my website. Do contact me if you would like to discuss a project.
