About
Davina Fisher is a British artist whose vibrant, abstract landscapes are deeply rooted in her relationship with memory, place, and lived experience. Her fascination with intuitive mark-marking, colour and the versatility of oil paint guides her creative process. Her paintings are an ongoing journey of discovery as she explores her observation of the energy and emotional resonance of place. Whether working on large-scale landscapes or smaller organic abstractions, her work is constantly informed by the natural world, pulling from memory from walks and hikes from far flung travels or familiar locations closer to home.
Davina works from her studio in West Berkshire. She was born in 1966 in Derbyshire and, after having travelled extensively and worked in London for a number of years, she completed her Foundation at Chelsea School of Art, BA in Fine Art Painting between 2000 and 2003 at Camberwell College of Art, followed by an MA in Fine Art Painting (Distinction) in 2004 at Winchester School of Art. Davina undertook an Artist’s residency at St Paul’s Cathedral School and has exhibited in open calls, group and solo shows in London and around the UK.
Davina has been working predominantly to commission over the last few years, whilst bringing up her family. She is now enjoying dedicating much more time to her practice.
